Ren Diller has seen the wrong end of a gun not once, but twice, and also nearly drowned in the Indian Ocean. She prefers the safety of a fictional world nowadays. She misspent her youth in Sugar Land, Texas, but survived with all her organs intact (so far). Ren earned a Ph.D. in social psychology from the University of Houston after spending years behind a two-way mirror. She currently lives abroad but will always be a proud Texan at heart.
Ren's bucket list ranges from the mundane (finally, finally watch Requiem for a Dream ) to the ambitious (learn 50 ways to cook aubergines), but she thinks it's vital to dream big and follow through on chasing those dreams.
Her debut novel, The Fracture of a Dream, poses this question:
Death: is it when you're six feet under with not a breath left in your body? Or is it when you're trapped by your own choices with not a breath left in your life?
